The employment of contract cleaning workers is governed by this legislation.
The determination sets –
- minimum wages
- working hours
- number of leave days
- termination rules.
Application
Sectoral Determination 1 applies to all employers and workers in the Contract Cleaning sector in South Africa, but not to –
- administrative personnel;
- workers who work less than 24 hours a month;
- employers and workers covered by another bargaining council agreement in terms of the Labour Relations Act 1995.
